NEW

AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN TRAINING

The increase in the total volume of vehicles provides an opportunity to launch a new Automotive Technician Training program within ChangingGears.

Preliminary meetings with a large automotive service provider have confirmed that there is market demand, with wage rates starting at $15 per hour.

EXPANDED OPPORTUNITIES

The expansion of the ChangingGears footprint will create the necessary space for the Automotive Technician Training program while simultaneously increasing the garage’s capacity to service vehicles.

ChangingGears is independently raising funds for equipment and tools for their new space.

Constuction

In 2019, CityLink launched Cornerstone Construction Training, a collaborative program that prepares individuals for a career in construction by equipping them with the hands-on training and certifications they need to be successful in the industry.

OPPORTUNITIES

FOR MORE FAMILIES

By adding two classrooms for extended ages to the CityLink site, our partnership will be able to increase capacity by 50%, serving more families, with extended morning and evening hours. Additional childcare capacity will also support more temporary care for CityLink clients.

Learning Grove is independently raising funds for equipment and furnishings for their new space.

Employment

While many individuals enter our doors seeking training to prepare for long-term careers, others come in needing immediate employment.

ROOTS STAFFING

To help rapidly connect our clients to meaningful entry-level employment, we are partnering with Roots, a local, purpose-driven temporary-to-permanent staffing agency. The expansion will help provide a dedicated space for employment training and job placement services.

We anticipate the addition of a staffing agency will be critical as businesses seek flexible staffing options during and post-pandemic.

HELP FOR A

POST-PANDEMIC ECONOMY

Both expanded career training and the addition of an immediate entry-level employment option will incorporate wrap-around services to help workers restart.

This facility expansion will enable the build-out of a dedicated space for employment training and job placement services.

A PATH TO HIGHER WAGES

In a tighter labor market, higher education will become a more significant differentiator. An avenue to a college degree will better position our clients for employment and higher wages.

On average, earnings for individuals who advance from a high-school education to an Associate degree increase their salary by 17%, from $37K to $43K.
